Q: What kind of materials do you use?

We use high-quality, eco-conscious materials — including cotton, poly-cotton blends, and recycled fabrics — and all embroidery is stitched locally in Madison, WI.

Q: How should I wash embroidered clothing?

We recommend washing inside out with cold water on a gentle cycle and laying flat or hanging to dry to preserve the embroidery.

Shipping & Delivery

Q: When will my order ship?

University Embroidery commits to shipping all orders within 5–7 business days of placement. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays.

Q: How will my order be shipped?

All U.S. orders are shipped via USPS and come with a tracking number so you can follow your package every step of the way.

Q: How much does shipping cost?

We offer a flat shipping rate of $4.99 anywhere in the U.S. Orders over $75 qualify for free shipping automatically at checkout.

Q: Are delivery times guaranteed?

We aim to meet all stated delivery windows, but please note that shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed, especially during high-volume periods.

Returns & Exchanges

Q: What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date for a full refund. Items must be unworn, unused, with tags, and in their original packaging. Be sure to include your receipt or order number.

Q: What if I received the wrong item or a damaged product?

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive a wrong, damaged, or defective item, contact us right away — we’ll fix the issue as quickly as possible.

Q: Are there any items that can’t be returned?

Yes, the following are non-returnable:

- Custom pieces (personalized or made-to-order)

- Items purchased in person (e.g., at farmers' markets)

- Sale Items and Gift Cards

Q: How do I exchange an item?

For faster service, we recommend placing a new order for the item you want and starting a return for the original. This way, you get the right item without waiting for the exchange to process.

Q: When will I receive my refund?

Once your return is received and inspected, you’ll get an email notification. If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method, minus the original shipping cost.

Please allow some time for your bank or card issuer to process the refund.

Q: Who pays for return shipping?

You are responsible for the return shipping fee. If you're requesting an exchange, we’ll ship the replacement item to you at no extra cost.
